RWE Innogy expands wind farm portfolio in Spain
Through its Spanish subsidiary Agrupació Energías Renovables S.A.U. (AERSA), RWE Innogy GmbH has acquired a 23.75 percent stake in the Spanish wind farm operator, Explotaciones Eólicas de Aldehuelas, S.L. With this acquisition, RWE Innogy increased its overall share of the company to 45 percent. Explotaciones Eólicas de Aldehuelas operates a wind farm with an installed capacity of 47.2 megawatts in the Spanish province of Castile-Léon near the city of Soria. RWE Innogy is taking over the shares of the wind farm developer Preneal which is based in Madrid. more
First European security centre taken into operation
The German-Dutch security centre is the first center if its kind. It will be taken into operation today. A joint team of experts from the German grid administrator RWE Transportnetz Strom GmbH and its Dutch counterpart TenneT TSO B.V. will support the security management of the extra-high-voltage grids of Germany and the Netherlands. more
