RWE Innogy and Troisdorf municipal utility plan joint biomass-fired cogeneration plant

RWE Innogy plans to build a modern biomass-fired cogeneration plant together with the municipal utility of Troisdorf. The plant is to supply steam and heat to the industrial municipal park of Troisdorf (IndustrieStadtpark Troisdorf). Therefore RWE Innogy Cogen GmbH and TroiKomm GmbH, a subsidiary of the city of Troisdorf, entered into a shareholders agreement to establish a joint project company. RWE will hold a share of 51 % in this company, while the city of Troisdorf will have a stake of 49 %. The planned investment volume will amount to more than 30 million euros. more
