To us, acting responsibly means safeguarding the interests of every individual.
That's why considering and integrating employee interests is a fundamental element of our corporate culture. Across the Group we recognise the core working standards of the International Labour Organization, ILO, and the principles of the United Nations Global Compact. In Germany, the Employee Codetermination Act, among other things, forms the legal basis for integration of employee interests. That means: The employee representatives provide half of the members of the Supervisory Board and are thus directly involved in the control of the RWE Group. And as part of our internationalisation, we have brought international forums to life, which are composed of employee representatives of the RWE companies in Europe. These forums represent around 68,500 employees within the Group and are a further guarantee for codetermination in practice.
