RWE Supply & Trading is a leading European energy trading house. We are the interface between the RWE Group and the global wholesale markets for energy and energy-related commodities. Our trading portfolio comprises commodities in both physical and derivative forms, including electricity, gas, coal and oil, as well as emission certificates, freight, weather hedges and renewable energies.

We are one of the strongest competitors in the European gas industry and are responsible for the economic optimisation of the entire non-regulated gas business of the RWE Group. This includes procurement, transport and storage, as well as LNG activities.

Our headquarters in Essen house Europe’s largest and most sophisticated energy trading floor. Our global network includes trading floors in London and Swindon, as well as subsidiary, affiliate and branch offices in New York, Singapore, Geneva and Den Bosch. We also maintain representative offices in Prague, Dubai, Ashgabat and our joint venture Excelerate Energy in Houston.

At our various locations we employ about 1,500 staff in total from over 40 countries. The interplay between the various cultures, the wealth of experience and different approaches brought by our employees is the source of innovative business ideas and the basis for our commercial success.
