RWE Supply & Trading is one of the leading companies in European energy trading and takes the responsibility of a gas procurement volume of nearly 50 billion cubic metres per year. RWE Supply & Trading is responsible for all of RWE’s activities on the international procurement and wholesale markets for energy.
RWE Supply & Trading is a Europe-wide enterprise and acts as the hub for all tradable commodities such as power, gas, coal and oil in their physical forms as well as with energy derivatives to secure against price risks. In addition, the company is optimising the complete gas portfolio of the RWE Group, from short- to long-term procurement and delivery commitments.
Besides trading-based portfolio management products, major industrial companies as final customers and trading partners also expect long-term supply concepts. With the merger of RWE Key Account GmbH into RWE Supply & Trading processes and interfaces were further optimised to meet those needs and bundled at one point within the RWE Group.
The headquarters of the company is in Essen (Germany) with additional branches and Trading Floors in London and Swindon (UK) and Prague (Czech Republic). Essent Trading offices are located in Geneva (Switzerland) and Den Bosh (Netherlands).
