Biogas

The diversity of nature offers various options for producing biogas. Raw materials, taken from agriculture show great potential for the generation of energy. Above all it’s the production of biogas with renewable raw materials or slurry that offers exceptional opportunities.
Depending on the character of a region, the ideal plant or best substrate is chosen, taking into account the consistency of the soil, the disposability of water and the climate. Our concepts of producing biogas are as diverse as nature itself.

Biogas - the all-rounder

Biogas provides the greatest energy yield possible per hectare of arable land. It is the most efficient biogenic fuel. Moreover, there are almost no limitations for biogas: rehashed to the level of natural gas, it can be used to generate electricity, for heating or even as fuel for cars.

How it works

Biogas basically consists of methane, carbon dioxide, water and traces of gases. The carbon-neutral energy supplier is generated in a biogas plant. In a locked tank, known as the digester, biogas is formed by bacteria from foliage plants and farm fertiliser.Biogas plants only use renewable raw materials to produce energy.
