Local community groups working in Rhyl, Prestatyn and Meliden are being invited to apply for grants from their local offshore wind farms. The North Hoyle and Rhyl Flats Offshore Wind Farms Community Funds in these areas are now open for applications. The combined Funds are now worth over £190,000 annually. more

Half a million pounds cash injection for North Wales.

A further £383,000 has been pledged to north Wales communities from the community fund linked to the Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm, which was built and is operated by RWE Innogy (UK). This brings the total amount invested in the area from the wind farm to over £½million since the fund was launched last June [2015]. more

Local community groups working in the Cymmer or Glyncorrwg wards are being invited to apply for grants from their local wind farm. Ffynnon Oer Wind Farm Fund is now worth over £28,500 annually.
Applicants can apply until Tuesday 14th June by visiting the NSA Afan website at www.nsaafan.co.uk.
