Frimmersdorf power plant

Garzweiler opencast mine

Biblis nuclear-power station

The Biblis power plant is located 13 km northeast of the town of Worms on the State of Hesse's side of the Rhine. It consists of power-plant units, called pressurised-water reactors, with an output of 2,394 MW.

Emsland nuclear-power station

The 1,400-MW unit of the Emsland nuclear-power station near Lingen was commissioned in 1988. It has been producing some 11 billion kWh of electricity annually with a time and energy availability of over 90%.

Bergkamen joint-venture power plant

The power plant was commissioned in autumn 1981. With some 6,000 hours of use, input of approx. 1.4 million tons of hard coal annually goes to generate about 4.2 billion kWh of electricity.

Societê Electrique de l’Our S.A., a publically listed company under Luxembourg law, operates the pump storage power station in Vianden, run-off-river power stations on the Mosel and the Our as well as wind parks in Luxembourg.

Heimbach hydropower station

The hydropower station Heimbach was commissioned in 1905. Since technical mordernisation in the 1970s, it has operated two turbines with a total capacity of 16 megawatts.
