Today, space heating and transportation account for about two-thirds of Germany’s CO₂ emissions. To reach the ambitious targets in regard to climate protection and the preservation of valuable resources, the potential existing in the area of end-use consumers has to be tapped systematically.

There are a number of projects available that might in future contribute substantially to the conservation and efficient use of energy. The significance of electricity as an energy carrier for a large number of application ranges is increasing continuously.

We are leading the way in further developing cutting-edge technology as is reflected, for instance, by our pilot project in Berlin where we are “bringing electricity onto the streets”. Or by our “E-Energy“ project, which is turning the “consumers” and “producers” of today into the “prosumers” of tomorrow.
