Gas grid

It comes from the far-away steppes of Russia, the icy expanses of Norway's North Sea or from close-by Netherlands – natural gas. Invisible and well protected, the gas pipes run underground and transport their energetic load from deposit to consumer. RWE has highly modern gas transportation and distribution networks. They consist of a total of appr. 100,000 kilometres of pipelines, measurement and control stations. Now gas grids, too, accommodate renewable energy in the form of biogas upgraded to natural gas quality.
