Waste water discharge
The average German consumes 122 litres of drinking water a day: taking a shower, washing clothes or the dishes. As soon as the water is consumed, it is out of sight. Deep beneath our feet, under streets and pavements, it finds its way through the drain system to the purification plants.
Detailed assessment
Research and Development in systematic dewatering has made impressive advances in recent years. Today, RWE uses the most modern management systems for monitoring the discharged wastewater amounts and optimizing the use of the drain network. Innovative processes enable RWE, as a network operator, to precisely check and document the state of its wastewater system. The results undergo detailed assessments on whose basis RWE makes continuous investment in the renewal of the drain system. Here, the Company is backing new methods and materials which do long-term justice to economic and ecological requirements.
