Flux-cored surfacing
Flux-cored method:
The open-arc welding method uses a motor to continuously feed the melting welding wire to the welding point with variable speed. The RWE Maintenance & Engineering Center uses a wire electrode that forms chromium carbides, which will counteract abrasive wear, as the fused material solidifies. For sheet material and rotational symmetrical parts, surfacing is semi and fully automated.
