The RWE Energy House of the Future

When it comes to energy efficiency in construction and home life, RWE plays a pioneering role in Germany. In our current energy-efficiency projects, we show how we slash our customer's energy bills with no loss of comfort, while helping spare our environment thanks to the concurrent CO2 reductions.

 

With this in mind, the project series “The RWE Energy House of the Future“ stands for:

  • intelligent linkage of energy-efficiency technologies in practical operations
  • a real-life laboratory environment for applications of the future
  • needs-oriented product development along with the customer

  • a holistic view of energy solutions – ecological and economical answers

Using applications for the future that we have already developed, we are fitting out buildings as system integrators with the very latest plant technology and, in this way, making a major contribution toward intelligent und efficient use of energy as a valuable resource.

 

Here, in the energy efficiency of buildings, both in new construction and within the scope of modernization, we are employing:

  • modern warmth and energy technologies, e. g. heat pumps or micro combined heat and power plants
  • innovative measuring and meter techniques "smart metering"
  • intelligent house automation "smart home"
  • further innovative technologies (e. g. air technology, home ventilation, safety) for holistic solutions with high customer benefit

Our current projects are concrete examples of what possible solutions could look like for builders and modernisers seeking to implement environmentally friendly and economically sensible options in energy saving and CO2 reduction.

RWE will expand this successful concept again by further developing innovative projects.
