Haulier transporting ash from Didcot A Power Station

Generation Aggregates

RWE Power International supplies Pulverised Fuel Ash (PFA) and Furnace Bottom Ash (FBA) together with extensive technical support and after sales advice.

PFA, or fly ash as it is more commonly known, is a by-product of coal-fired power stations. Along with FBA, which is also produced by burning coal to generate power, PFA is recognised as a safe and versatile construction material.

Sustainability

The use of PFA has environmental benefits over primary aggregates, helping to meet recycling targets and offering more suitable alternatives. With the environmental impacts of obtaining primary raw materials becoming less and less acceptable, PFA helps reduce the demand for virgin aggregates and assists businesses in reducing their carbon footprint.

Expertise

With the expertise that comes from over 80 years of producing and utilising PFA in the UK, we have an outstanding knowledge of the material and its use in different industrial applications.

As part of the RWE group, we can call upon the capabilities and resources of one of Europe’s leading utility companies.

Availability

Our secondary aggregates are cost effective and readily available from our power stations in Central and Southern England and South Wales. Where required, RWE Power International can arrange haulage and delivery to your site.
