Geological modelling
Our geologists construct a 3-dimensional digital deposit model from geological appraisals and geophysical exploration data using state-of-the-art digital modelling software.
Based on geological surveys and individual mineralised intervals or coal seams, a three-dimensional ‘wireframe’ will be created using geostatistical modelling, which includes the hard information as well as any infrared or soft information. The resulting wireframe model is validated and checked for integrity via cross sections and plans.
Once completed, it represents the mineralisation as accurately as possible and will form the basis of an estimation of potential mineral resource.
