Ash laboratory
With our own laboratories and over 50 engineers, scientists and technicians proficient in ash and environmental issues, we are able to offer an exceptional level of technical advice, supporting the sale and application of power station ash products.
RWE Power International can offer a wide range of testing facilities and extensive knowledge covering geotechnical, physical and chemical analysis of ash.
The laboratory facility support includes:
- monitoring ash quality to ensure its suitability
- advising on the standards relevant to the use of ash
- providing technical data to enable customers to assess the suitability of ash in their particular application
- assisting customers in finding and resolving problems where ash may help to provide the answer
Quality
The ash laboratory can provide advice and develop testing regimes appropriate for many of the markets for ash, including cementitious applications.
To provide maximum assurance on the quality of service, the laboratory is accredited by UKAS to the ISO 17025 standard for testing laboratories. Our quality system is also accredited to ISO 9001.
The expertise available can also assist in the resolution of ash related problems.
