Prevention of corruption

The avoidance of conflicts of interest has the highest priority at RWE. Private interests and the interests of the company are to remain strictly separated. In the same way we keep a close eye to ensure that decisions are not influenced by the granting of benefits in whatever form. To flesh this out, we have used the RWE Code of Conduct as a basis for the development of Group-wide regulations which specify a range of exact procedures for the handling of gifts and invitations.

To create the best possible level of transparency within the company, a documentation tool was set up on 1 January 2010. It covers essential details and documents in the areas of donations, sponsorships, consultancy contracts and third-party benefits paid to persons in official functions.
