RWE npower renewables carried out scoping studies and a full Enviromental Impact Assesment from 2007 to 2009.
The planning application was submitted to Argyll and Bute Council on the 14 December 2009.
The closing date for members of the public to formally submit comments on the planning application is 11 February 2010.
A planning decision is expected in 2010 and if approved, construction will commence in December 2012, with the site expected to be operational in 2013.
