RWE Gasspeicher GmbH was founded on 1st April 2009 and since that time takes over the control of the storage business of RWE Rheinland Westfalen Netz AG.

With a team of 57 storage experts, we develop, operate and market innovative natural gas storage facilities for the future – both above and below ground – thus contribute decisively to the protection of European gas supply. RWE Gasspeicher successfully operates five gas storage facilities in Germany – one of the most important regions in Europe for storage business – in an environmentally conscious and responsible manner as codified in the company Environmental, Health and Safety Policy.
