Kiln Pit Hill Wind Farm
Sites
In February 2009, RWE npower renewables given consent by the Planning Inspectorate to build a six turbine wind farm on land to the south-east of Kiln Pit Hill in Northumberland.
Since receiving consent to build Kiln Pit Hill Wind Farm, we have been working closely with the Northumberland County Council to ensure we comply with the planning conditions. We have also created a Traffic Management Plan which has undergone extensive public consultation. We have taken on many ideas and comments of local residents within the plan which has been supported by the council.
Kiln Pit Hill Wind Farm is now ready for construction and we expect the wind farm to be delivering clean green electricity by mid 2012. A timetable of construction can be seen by clicking here.
We have also set up a Kiln Pit Hill Wind Farm Community Liaison Group. The group has been established to give a method of two-way dialogue between us and representatives of local community, specifically in relation to the construction of the wind farm.
The group will be holding regular meetings to be updated on, and discuss, any points regarding the construction of the wind farm.
More information on the group, including minutes from the meetings, can be found here.
