Kiln Pit Hill Wind Farm
In February 2009, RWE npower renewables was been given consent by the Planning Inspectorate to build a six turbine wind farm on land to the east of the A68, approximately one kilometre south-east of Kiln Pit Hill in Northumberland. Kiln Pit Hill Wind Farm was the subject of a public inquiry which concluded in January 2009 and was held before a Government Planning Inspector at Tynedale Council offices in Hexham.
RWE npower renewables is now working to discharge the pre-construction planning conditions associated with the planning consent. One of these conditions was that we consult with local residents about the Traffic Management Plan (TMP) which will be implemented during the construction of Kiln Pit Hill Wind Farm.

Once the pre-construction conditions have been discharged we will begin construction of the wind farm and we expect initial construction activities to begin in Autumn 2010.
