Project Timeline
Below is a list of the key milestones of the Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm project during the development phase.
These timings may change as the project progresses.
| 2010 | Ongoing onshore and offshore studies. Informed by National Grid that they are undertaking a new review of options for the onshore connection. |
| 2011 | Formal consultation on the offshore wind farm component of the project. Offshore Wind Farm planning application submission to the Infrastructure Planning Commission. Review of options for the onshore connection with National Grid. |
| 2012 | Commence studies on the options for the electrical system infrastructure. |
| 2013 | Decision anticipated on the planning application for the offshore wind farm component of the project. |
If we are successful gaining consent to build Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm, we anticipate construction of the offshore works may commence in 2017. There will then be a phased energisation of the wind farm from approximately 2018.
