Consultation

As part of the development process, RWE npower renewables consulted widely with the local Evanton Community Council, the local community and statutory organisations, including the Highland Council, Scottish Natural Heritage, the Conon Salmon Fishery Board, and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency. These consultations helped shape the design and development of the scheme.

Two public meetings were held during July and November 2006 in the run up to submitting the application. At these meetings, held at the Diamond Jubilee Hall in Evanton, local residents were invited to hear a presentation on the scheme and were given the opportunity to ask questions and make comments.

Whenever possible, these suggestions and comments have been incorporated into the final proposals.
