Société Eléctrique de l'Our S.A., Luxembourg

Société Électrique de l'Our, or SEO in short, operates the Vianden pumped storage power plant to generate peak-load electricity. In addition, SEO operates run-of-river power plants and wind power plants. With a share of 40.3% each, the state of Luxembourg and RWE Power are the largest shareholders of Société Électrique de l’Our. www.seo.lu

Zandvliet Power N.V., Antwerp/Belgium

In May 2002, the company Zandvliet Power N.V., Antwerp/Belgium, was founded. Stockholders are RWE Power and (indirectly) Electrabel S.A., Brussels/Belgium, each holding 50%. The object of the company is to supply the BASF location of Antwerp with electricity and process steam. For this purpose a CCGT plant with a net capacity of 400 MWel and an investment volume of some € 200 million is being erected. Commissioning is scheduled for August 2005.
