Construction Diary
The first stage of erecting the turbines involved the installation of the bottom sections of the turbine towers. Once they were all installed, the top sections of the towers, the nacelle (the compartment that sits on top of the towers and houses the generator) and the blades were raised into position on each turbine.
12th June 2001 - Turbine No.16 base tower is erected and bolted into place. 15th June 2001 - Turbine blades are delivered to the site.
