How to succeed as an applicant

Make it clear which position you are applying for and also indicate your salary expectations and possible start date.
Your curriculum vitae should be informative and well structured. The key information and any special points of your career path must stand out clearly. A logical structure and systematic layout is particularly important in consulting work, so if you want to be able to impress your clients with your project strategies, you will first need to convince us of your suitability. Once you have received a positive response to your application, we will carry out a telephone interview with you. If this goes well, we will invite you to take part in a competence audit. This is where you have the opportunity to demonstrate your expertise. Test cases related to practical consulting tasks allow us to check your individual skill set and see if it meets our requirements. You will not need any specialised knowledge of the energy industry to successfully complete these test cases. To assess your problem-solving skills, the following questions will be raised. Is your method of approach convincing, and do you ask the right questions? Does your approach display creativity and good business sense? Naturally you will receive extensive feedback on completion of this exercise.
If we have aroused your long-term interest in RWE Consulting and we can imagine your becoming one of our new consultants, our CEO will conduct an intensive interview with you. If that proves positive, the conversation will then turn to contractual conditions and further details of the position.
