Electrical Plant & Systems Group Head
After joining the generation business on the graduate training scheme in 1995 Lorna spent several years in the Operations department at Didcot B power station in Oxfordshire, UK. In 2001 she moved to the central Engineering function and became a specialist engineer for electrical tariff metering in addition to a more general electrical role. She now heads up a group of specialist electrical engineers who support the RWE Generation UK sites.
Lorna graduated from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology with a 2:1 in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and is a chartered member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
What gives you most satisfaction in your work?
Solving the site problem and seeing the generator back on-load.
