Algeria
In the year 2002, following the conclusion of the 3rd international concession round organised by the Algerian government, a consortium consist-ing of Repsol-YPF (45%, as operator), RWE Dea (30%) and Edison (25%) were awarded licences for the blocks 351c and 352c in the Reggane North region. The Production Sharing Agreement was signed on 10 July 2002 with an effective date of 12th January 2003. After statu-tory relinquishments the license perimeter still covers an area of approx. 4.685 square kilome-tres.
Libya
RWE Dea has been operating in Libya since June 2003. The licence acreage in Libya covers a total of more than 40,000 square kilometers over seven concessions combined, which have been awarded to the company by the Libyan National Oil Corporation in May 2003 and January 2008, respectively. RWE Dea is the operator with a 100% participation interest in these concessions.
Mauretania
RWE Dea holds a 30% share in the onshore block Ta10 in Mauritania operated by Repsol YPF.
The block is located in the Taoudeni Basin roughly 800 kilometers from the Atlantic coast and 200 kilometers west of the Mali border. In total the block covers an exploration area of 21,665 square kilometers.
