Staythorpe - local community

RWE npower has a long-term commitment to Staythorpe and the surrounding area. The new power station will provide significant benefits in terms of long-term employment and other contributions to the local economy.

We take our corporate responsibility extremely seriously. This means considering the social and environmental impacts of our operations, working to promote the positive effects of what we do and taking care to minimise any negative impacts. We are committed to keeping the community informed of progress during construction and the active life of the power station.

Over £55,000 has been donated to local organisations since the construction of Staythorpe Power Station began.  Projects that have received support from us include: Newark Half Marathon, British Red Cross Newark, Farndon Wildlife Watch, the Bramley Apple Festival, Rolleston Village Hall, Southwell U13 football team and Farndon Residents’ Environmental Group.
