FAQ

Can I only apply online for the IGP?

We only accept online applications through our application form. Please fill in all the information conscientously and completely so that we can consider your application.

Who is the target group of the IGP?

The IGP is a generalistic orientated trainee programme for enthusiastic university graduates, who don’t have a lot of professional experience.

What is expected from my German language skills?

We don’t expect you to speak absolutetly perfect German. Rather we are looking for people with advanced language skills who are willing to improve their German further. We offer you of course assisstance through language courses.

Will I co-operate with the other Participants of the IGP?

Every trainee inherits its own project, although it can happen that two trainees work on the same project. Generally you will meet the other particitpants in between the projects during the feedback days and the training sessions in Essen.

How is a project run precisely?

We organise the first stage of the programme for you. Every following project you will have to look for yourself inside the RWE Group. Your mentor will assist you with the selection. A project has a duration of about 3 month and is self-contained. This means you are responsible for the process and successfull completion. Your concrete goals will be set in a target agreement and will be discussed after the completion of the project.

Who will be my mentor?

The IGP mentors are all senior executives drawn from the top levels of RWE management.

Will I get a job offer from RWE after the determination of the IGP?

You won’t be offered a job automatically, but the experiences you gained from your varied projects, your deep unterstanding of our Group, and your personal network will all help you to find a suitable and challenging position with us after the programme is over.
