Consultation

In addition to consultation with statutory organisations, the local community of Achnacarry, Bunarkaig and Clunes have played an important role in the process feeding comments directly into the design proposals.

Public meetings were held during November 2008 and June 2009 in the run up to submitting the application.  At these meetings local residents were invited to hear a presentation on the scheme and were given the opportunity to ask questions and make comments.  Whenever possible, these suggestions and comments have been incorporated into the final proposals.

Subsequent to the planning application, a further meeting was held in December 2009 to update the community with progress and to present an overview of community benefit options which could result from the scheme.
