RWE npower - Cricket

npower has been one of cricket’s biggest supporters since 2001 and its commitment to the sport currently extends to 2011.

The company sponsors the npower Test Series (Test cricket is an international cricket competition), npower village cup and the npower Women’s Test Series. npower is proud to have been part of one of the greatest Ashes Test Series ever, when England beat Australia in the 2009 npower Test to regain the Ashes.

In addition to increasing brand awareness, sponsoring the cricket also enables npower to get involved in community activities. npower Urban Cricket is a grassroots project run in conjunction with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), and is designed to get more children playing cricket. Since its launch in 2006, npower and the ECB have distributed over 70,000 Urban Cricket kits to children in the UK.
