Project Location

The new state of the art Markinch Biomass CHP facility will replace the existing coal-fired power plant at Tullis Russell. The site is located in Markinch, near Glenrothes in Fife, Scotland.

Tullis Russell papermakers is sited in a small, natural valley, which will help act as a sound barrier when construction begins on the new power plant.
