Fairness and trust

While corporate culture cannot be prescribed, we can provide a framework for it. At RWE Dea, this is achieved by recognising five central values that also comprise the mission statement of the RWE Group:

To perform at our best for us is a matter of course, and the desire to achieve perfection is what inspires us on a daily basis. We aim to be a leading enterprise in our industry. Our employees exhibit high levels of professional and social competence. They are committed to our Company and guarantee its success.

In working toward the future, our vision is not limited to the interests of our Company. We look for innovative, sustainable solutions that not only help us achieve our corporate objectives, but are equally beneficial to society and to the environment.

Trust and respect are indispensable if we want to succeed in our business and in working as a team. We place a high priority on open and honest communication, both amongst ourselves and in dealing with third parties, and on a timely dialogue. In doing so, we respect the confidentiality of information.

Customer focus for us means primarily that our business partners must be able to rely on us. We invest time in establishing, shaping and maintaining valuable partnerships with our customers. We take in active interest in the needs and concerns of our business partners. Moreover, we have a commitment to the regions in which we operate.

Finally, reliability is the basis on which we perform our daily duties. We keep our promises. We act responsibly and with consideration, and we respect the fundamental principles of human interaction. The behaviour of our managerial staff is characterised by social competence and fairness. Our ethical standards are high.

This set of five core corporate values provide the framework for the development of our corporate culture to date. Above all, the climate at RWE Dea is characterised by a spirit of openness towards social diversity and different life styles. Tolerance and mutual appreciation are important prerequisites for getting along with our colleagues in an atmosphere of fairness, respect and cordiality.


Openness and cooperation

Working together to achieve our common goals: at RWE Dea we help and support each other in the performance of our daily work and bringing projects to a successful conclusion. In doing so, we find that what makes us strong is the interaction between employees with many years’ experience and those who have joined us more recently – the exchange between different generations. This combination of fresh impulses and sound experience drives our corporate culture. Our work within the team at RWE Dea is interdisciplinary and international. We promote an integrative style of working, are supportive, considerate and open.

 

Diverse and international

Everyone is welcome at RWE Dea regardless of their gender, nationality, skin colour, religion or sexual orientation. We hold the view that a diverse workforce is more contented and makes work more interesting as well as more successful. Having a workforce consisting of employees coming from different countries and cultures – as is also increasingly the case in our German locations – creates a mixture of diverse skills and talents, which in turn results in competitive advantages, because teams representing a diversity of backgrounds tend to be more productive and more creative. People of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds can support and inspire each other with new ideas in the course of their work. At the same time, this fosters a greater understanding and appreciation of foreign cultures and their specific features at our various locations. For us, “diversity” is not a mere slogan, but something we live every single day.
