Promoting Giftedness

Education is an elementary social commodity: educated people make autonomous decisions, react more flexibly to change, find creative solutions and enrich society. This is why RWE Foundation supports young people in developing real characters and thinking beyond the bounds of specific disciplines.

A broad view of education does not necessarily mean arbitrariness. The Foundation aims to raise the prestige of the topic “energy” in education and establish this further within lessons. For this reason, the Foundation funds projects that develop curiosity in children and young people for questions about energy generation and energy efficiency. This is not only about understanding science. Energy influences all fields of human life and living together and is therefore a suitable theme for the humanities and social sciences.
