Kalle
The Kalle gas storage facility in Hoogstede-Kalle near the Dutch border has seven vertical and two horizontal wells and is among Germany’s biggest aquifer reservoirs. It has a working gas volume of about 0.2 billion m³.
Its strategic position on the Dutch-German border gives the storage access to the Thyssengas pipeline system in the market area of NetConnect Germany (NCG) while also permitting its use on the Dutch market via the Dutch pipeline network of Gas Transport Service B.V. (GTS).
