Involvement at a local level

RWE’s involvement in sponsorship is characterised by the promotion of regional art and culture. In addition to museums and exhibitions in the Ruhr, individual projects and events benefit too, such as the Ruhr Valley Cycle Way: during the Capital of Culture year young talents got the chance make a particular impact on the landscape of their region. Electricity pylons were transformed into works of art. Furthermore the Ruhr also attracts performers from all over the world looking to take part in high profile events such as the Ruhr Festival.
