Strong turnout for wind farm exhibition

More than 300 people attended the RWE npower renewables public exhibition about proposals to develop a five turbine wind farm at Temple Hill.

The event was held at Stubton Village Hall on Friday and Saturday (September 28/29).

Developer Sarah Lee said:”We were very pleased by the response which gave us the opportunity to share our ideas with local people and give them the chance to ask questions and give us their views.

“Our plans for a development at Temple Hill are still in the early stages and the comments we have received will be really valuable in helping us to shape our plans.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to come along and to all the people who filled out the comments forms.

We will now study the feedback and use it to inform the design and layout of the proposed site.

Further environmental studies will be carried out on the site and these, coupled with the information we have received from the public, will determine whether an application is submitted in 2013.”
