Against the background of rising energy prices, wind power is well on the way to becoming competitive, even without subsidies. Its total volume is also rising. Wind power production in Germany has increased 100-fold since 1990 – a trend which is continuing internationally. We expect double-digit annual growth rates in Europe until 2020. We are a driving force in this dynamic power market: We invest 70 per cent of our available resources in wind power plants both offshore and onshore.
