On behalf of the Group Center of RWE AG, the Corporate Procurement Division of RWE Service GmbH carries out the regulation competence for the strategic controlling and bundling of all procurement tasks for the RWE Group; exceptions to this are primary energy and electricity.  The Corporate Procurement Division (RWE Service GmbH) annually controls a procurement volume of about 6 billion Euros (Procurement volumes 2008); of which approx 3 billion Euros are directly dealt with operatively by Corporate Procurement.

All materials and services that are generally required in administration, industry and service companies are contained in our “shopping basket”.

Furthermore, in coordination with the purchasing departments of the operating companies, we also deal with services that meet the particular requirements of energy utilities or require project-related engineering participation. Electronic catalogues are being used more and more – enabling our customers in the Group to directly access the complete range of products and services offered by the different suppliers.
