npower cogen

npower cogen is the cogeneration division of RWE npower and is one of the UK’s leading developers of industrial combined heat and power (CHP).  We have over 15 years experience and since 1993 we have invested over £350 million in CHP plants across the UK and Ireland. Our portfolio covers a broad range of industries including Chemicals, Pulp and Paper, Refining and the Food and Drink sector.  This reflects our extensive expertise in the development, construction, operation and management of a wide range of CHP applications. 

More recently, we have added to our portfolio with the acquisition of a 50MWe CHP plant at Hythe, and we continue to look for investment opportunities where we are able to develop mutually beneficial relationships with customers and make substantial savings to their energy costs.  Through investing in new CHP projects, we are also demonstrating our commitment to reaching the Government's ambition of installing 15.5GWe of good quality CHP capacity by 2020.  We are dedicated to supporting the work towards the UK Government and EU targets on renewables, energy efficiency and CO₂ reduction.
