About RWE npower
RWE npower, part of the RWE Group, is a leading integrated energy company. We supply gas and electricity through our retail business, npower and operate and manage a portfolio of flexible low-cost coal, oil and gas-fired power stations. We also manage a portfolio of cogeneration plant and, through RWE Power International, we sell our expertise in power generation to third parties.
Investment in new power stations
We’ve embarked upon a large scale building programme of new generation infrastructure and are planning new-build investments which could amount to around £1 billion each year over the next 10 years.
Nuclear Power
Building new nuclear power stations is a key part of our commitment to meet the UK’s energy needs and to reduce carbon dioxide intensity. We have formed a joint venture, Horizon Nuclear Power, with E.ON UK to develop around 6GW of new nuclear capacity in the UK.
