Operation Geologist
The candidate will be responsible for the coordination of G&G input to the Drilling Programs for exploration wells and assist in planning and execution of well operations.
Main tasks:
- Assist in planning and execution of site surveys
- Provide input for consent to drill application to authorities
- Collect and revue relevant offset well data
- Develop formation pressure and temperature prognoses for exploration wells
- Evaluate shallow well hazards
- Develop formation evaluation program
- Establish good relations with external contractors, related to mud logging, MWD, coring , core laboratories and bio-strat services and assure that all relevant services are coordinated
- Provide input to the AFE
- Establish standards for data acquisition and ensure that these are used by relevant service providers
- Establish reporting routines with well-site geologists
- Quality control all data and reports submitted from well site geologists
- Ensure distribution of daily reports and data to partners and relevant databases
- Ensure proper handover meetings with well-site geologists
- Be responsible for final well reporting
Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of Norwegian rules and regulations is required.
