  • Supervisory Board follows proposal of RWE Executive Board
  • Executive Board to forgo total of €500,000

The Supervisory Board and Executive Board of RWE AG have agreed to the total amount of compensation the Executive Board has offered to forgo. The four Executive Board members will forgo a total of €500,000 of their compensation for 2014. “The company is in a very difficult situation. It goes without saying that we wish to make our contribution too”, explained RWE’s CEO Peter Terium.

RWE AG will also include the Compensation Report in the annual report, thus fulfilling all requirements of the Germany Corporate Governance Index one year earlier than legally required. From this year onwards, the Compensation Report will show in an even more transparent manner which benefits are granted to the Executive Board and which payments were actually made in 2013. The latter will be listed in detail in a table entitled “Allocation”. The Annual Report for 2013 will be presented at the 2013 Fiscal Press Conference taking place on 4 March 2014.
