The era of hard coal at RWE is drawing to a close

The last two plants in the Netherlands are being converted to biomass.

RWE no longer operates hard coal fired power plants in the UK and Germany. The remaining two plants in the Netherlands are being converted to biomass.

In parallel, RWE is consistently pushing ahead with the expansion of renewable energies. RWE is already one of the largest producers of green electricity in the world.
