Floating Offshore Wind in the USA

New England Aqua Ventus

In the USA in the state of Maine, we are demonstrating the VolturnUS concept, which is a concrete semi-submersible structure.

The New England Aqua Ventus (NEAV) project will use an 11MW turbine. The project will be deployed at a site 2 miles south of Monhegan Island.

The project is expected to go into operation in 2024.

Partners

We are working on this project with Diamond Offshore Wind (a subsidiary of Mitsubishi) and the University of Maine.
