Occupational health

Happy, healthy employees are one of RWE’s most valuable assets, as they are crucial to the success of our Group. So we make sure our employees stay healthy physically, mentally and socially and maintain a sense of wellbeing.

Our Corporate Health Management programme has a wide range of offerings, implements measures as and when required and initiates prevention measures to promote good health. This work is carried out by both our Occupational Health professionals and the Health & Safety department. Corporate sporting events, healthy eating in the canteen and clear overtime rules are among those measures, as well as seminars on addiction prevention and annual flu vaccinations. In addition, we continue to work on developing a respectful and trusting management culture as a means of further enhancing our health and safety culture. A long-term, blended-learning training concept for managers has been designed for this purpose, with Workplace Health and Safety content conveyed as a management responsibility.

The area of mental health is becoming more and more important, due to increasing workloads and rising stress levels. For this reason, we now offer more courses on coping better with stress as well as on resilience and mindfulness.

Professional training and further development

Innovative employees who are full of talent and determination are the foundation of every new RWE project – and we want to foster that! So we offer all kinds of different training and courses to develop personal skills and abilities. These range from IT skills and project management to specific themes such as technical training, occupational health & safety, compliance and management training. RWE’s HR portal offers classic face-to-face training, blended learning, web-based learning, videos and many other options.

We help managers open up new possibilities to their employees, so they can try out new things, carry out projects and work with different kinds of people in order to learn from one another. We incorporate a variety of personal challenges within the normal work routine in order to unleash the development potential of every employee.

Data protection

RWE has adopted some guiding principles for the responsible handling of personal data. These guidelines provide a framework for dealing responsibly with personal data – irrespective of whether the data comes from internal or external sources. Moreover, every employee is obliged to keep all personal data confidential. The aim is to protect personal data from misuse and strengthen the degree of employee and customer trust in RWE. RWE Group Data Protection works closely with the Information and IT Security department to implement state-of-the-art data security measures and ensure the necessary standard of confidentiality. Furthermore, Group Data Protection develops and maintains our data protection management system and ensures a uniform understanding of data protection at RWE.
