Curious what it is like to (live and) work at the RWE Campus in Essen, in the heart of the metropolitan area Rhein-Ruhr?

Our office in Austin, Texas, is located right in the heart of central downtown, one of the most popular neighbourhoods in the city. Our modern office spaces are fully equipped and offer well-appointed workstations, a lovely kitchen where colleagues can take a break together as well as a beautiful city view. Fancy some after work activities with #TeamRWE? It’s all close by. Just walk down Sixth Street which is well known for its varied streetside entertainment, fantastic restaurants and bars.

RWE Renewables has operated on the Nordic market since March 2018. In the Nordic region about 170 RWE employees work with onshore and offshore wind farm development, construction, and operations.

We recently opened an office in central Copenhagen, where about 25 RWE employees are based. The capital city of Denmark is characterized by its canals, cycling culture, strong economy, and happy locals. The office is located right next to the City Hall Square, Tivoli and the main train station, surrounded by a wide range of museums, art galleries, and palaces, shops and restaurants.

In April 2021, RWE Renewables Europe & Australia GmbH Hamburg was finally able to move into its new office at the Drehbahn. In a central location – Planten & Blomen, Jungfernstieg, Alster Lake and the Gänsemarkt are only a few minutes away – it offers a great atmosphere and historical flair.

The listed building of the former postal customs office in Hamburg-Neustadt, built in 1920, offers everything your heart desires: modern office equipment, a roof terrace, a unique piazza with a coach house, which offers a wide range of possible uses, and a green wall in the entrance area.

Our office in Jakarta is small but serves a very important purpose: The colleagues from RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST) are the main contact for the trading activities of RWEST in Indonesia, a very competitive market in which RWEST wants to become the leading energy trading house.

The main responsibilities of the colleagues at the site: Commercial trading and business analytics, finance, tax, statutory reporting to the government and office management.

More than 120 people are representing RWE Supply and Trading and RWE Renewables at our office in London, which is located in the heart of the city. Just a step away from the door you can see the Royal Exchange and the Bank of England – our open plan office allows the colleagues to foster creativity and open communication. Our London colleagues in the city centre have easy access to a variety of popular restaurants, coffee shops and bars as well as gym facilities with company subsidized membership options.

Inside our office you have access to free tea and coffee in one of our well equipped kitchens, plenty of meeting rooms for private meetings. London colleagues regularly run pool competitions as part of charitable events which also brings the colleagues closer and offers great networking opportunities even if you are not a pool champion.

Or do you prefer to go to one of the popular surrounding restaurants, cafés and bars or do you want to do your work out in the fitness studios, whose membership is financially supported by the company?

Sweden is a key market for the expansion of renewable energy and we are also expanding in Denmark, Norway and Finland. In the Nordic region about 170 RWE employees work with onshore and offshore wind farm development, construction, and operations. RWE Renewables regional head office in the Nordics is located in central Malmö, Sweden where about 80 RWE employees are based.

Our modern office in Malmö is surrounded by many quality restaurants, bistros and great cafés, right next to the train station and shopping center Trianglen.

Malmö is Sweden‘s third largest city and a natural hub for people and cultures from all over the world. The city’s inhabitants come from around 180 countries and speak about 150 different languages. The incredible mix of people is a big part of Malmö becoming one of the coolest cities around, with a rich cultural life – and the tastiest falafels near by the office that you need to try when you work here or pay a visit!

In October 2021, the team of RWE Renouvelables France moved into the new offices in Paris – in Clichy, to be precise, just on the  west side of the périphérique Highway. That is an important step for the team of RWE Renouvelables France. The colleagues now enjoy their new, tailor-made office home!

Our French solar, onshore wind and offshore wind teams as well as our experts and colleagues in support are finally together in one place to boost the #energytransition. By the way – also in October we celebrated the commissioning of Les Perriots, our first onshore wind farm in France. And we’re are not stopping there. We have an attractive development pipeline of about 1.9 gigawatts with several onshore projects under construction. On average, 780 employees from RWE are based in the Trigonos building in Swindon. This includes employees from the different RWE Group companies like RWE Supply & Trading, RWE Renewables, RWE Generation and RWE Technology, therefore a great place for networking. 

After a complete refurbishment the Swindon office is now equipped with a fantastic canteen, free on-site parking, quiet rooms for prayer or just to wind down, and a free gym for all employees including various classes such as yoga, pilates and HIIT. There are on-site social and sport clubs for running, football, netball, golf or cricket enthusiasts. 

Our new open, spacious and modern working spaces are a great place to spend the working day, networking with all the colleagues around and we are looking forward to welcoming visitors and employees alike!

In the growing markets in Asia our colleagues in the office in Tokyo play a major part in RWE’s international growth ambitions - both for the RWE Renewables’ as well as the RWE Supply & Trading business in Japan.
