RWE is a leading global player in renewables and offshore wind. With more than 20 years track record, RWE operates 19 offshore wind farms in five countries. The company currently has a total installed capacity of around 3.3 GW of offshore wind projects in operation and further offshore project under construction, and a total of more than 10 GW secured capacities in development worldwide.

In 2019, RWE Renewables opened its Tokyo office as the first office in Asia and now having a local presence of over 50 offshore wind professionals, RWE aims to leverage its global capabilities and expertise to develop, build and operate large scale offshore wind farms in Japan – together with its Japanese partners.
