Our Neighbourhood

As a reliable partner, corporate responsibility is a cornerstone of all our community activities, whether that's social engagement, collaborative educational programmes or local sponsorship deals. Voluntary “RWE local action” projects help build bridges with the local community.

We communicate openly and transparently about current developments in our mining, power generation and plant locations, by consulting with the local community to create the right environment for implementing forward-thinking infrastructure measures with municipal utilities, by supporting social and cultural projects or awarding tenders in the regions. We also keep residents living in close proximity to our power plants and Rhineland mines regularly informed by producing a neighbourhood magazine and remain in constant contact with them on the subject of Safety & Security.
